Cigarette smoking breaks down tobacco to produce various toxin substances and chemical compounds. A Cigarette consists of harmful substances like tar, nicotine, carbon monoxide etc. During smoking, the cigarette burns at 700 degrees at its tip and about 60 degrees in the nucleus. A smoker gets more prone to lung cancer and the risk of lung cancer amplifies with each cigarette one smokes. Probability of heart disease increases with each cigarette one inhales per day. Long term effects of smoking are clotting in the arteries with deposition of fat substance like cholesterol and thereby, causing the cardiovascular diseases. Other serious afflictions of smoking are passive smoking, premature and underweight babies to the mothers who smokes, impotency amongst the men, fertility problems, high blood pressure, worsening of asthma and many more.
